Madame. [172] |
I haue learnd by those lawes wherein I am a little conversant, |
that hee w.ch bestowes any cost vpon the dead, obliges him |
w.ch is dead but not the heyre. I doe not therefore send this |
paper to yor La.pp that you should thanke mee for it, or |
thinke that I thanke you in it. yor fauors and benefits to mee |
are so much aboue my merits that they are even aboue my |
Gratitude, if that were to bee iudged by words w.ch must exprsse |
it. But, Madame, since yor Noble Brothers fortunes beeing yours |
the Evidences also concerning it ar yours, so his vertues beeing yours, that |
Evidences concerning that belong also to you. |
Of w.ch. by yor acceptance, this may bee one part. In w.ch, quality I humbly |
prsent it, and as a testimony how entirely yor family |
possesseth |
Yor La.pps most humble |
and fayth*full srvt. |
