And still begetting (for he nere begunne) [f. 60v]
Hath deignd to chuse thee by adoption,
Coheire to his glorie, and Sabboths endless rest,
And as a robd man, wch by scearch* doth finde
His stolne stuffe sold, must loose or buy it againe,
The Sunne of glory came downe & was slaine,
Vs whom he had made, & Satan stolne, to vnbind,
Twas much that man was made like god before,
But that god should be made like man much more.|

Father, Part of his double interest
Vnto thy kingdom, thy sonne gives to me,
His Iointure in the knotty Trinitie,
He keepes and gives me his deathes conquest
This lambe, whose death, wth life the world hath blest,
Was from the worldes beginning slaine, and he
Hath made two wills, wch wth the legacie
Of his and thy kingdome, doth thy sonns invest,
Yett such are those lawes, yt men argue yett
Wheather a man those statutes can fulfill,
None doth; butt all-healing grace, and spiritt
Reviue againe what law and letter kill,
Thy lawes abridgment, and thy last command
Is all but love, oh lett that last will stand|
